Cute shop! Lots of cheese selections. And I finally found the honey Cheese I've been looking for for a year now. Goat, sheep, and cow cheeses were all delicious. Perfect for the charcuterie board night we planned with our best friends
It is one of the great places in the province to buy cheese. Huge selection of different varieties and ages of cheese. Lots of lighter fare (crackers, snacks, jams, sauces, etc) are available to buy as well.
This is an awesome store. The aged cheddar collection is quite unique. I haven't got up the nerve to try anything older than 10 years. Lots of local speciality products (meats, honeys, maple syrup, jellys, jams, etc ). The standard cheeses (cheddar, mozza, etc.) are a good value. Worth the drive to Mildmay!
I was looking on different websites for carmelized onion cheddar cheese. On Aug 27 2022 I found some on Mildmay Cheese Haus website. I live approx 2 hours away from their location. So, I called first to see if they had any. The male voice on the phone replied yes, so I traveled to this location. Upon arrival I first looked for the cheese and didn't see any. Then I asked if they did tastings and he replied yes. So I asked to try the carmelized onion cheese. That is when he told me they didn't have any. I reminded him that I had called 2 hours prior, and that is why I came to this location. There was no apologies or any response from him. I will never go back to this location.
The cheese! OMG the cheese! Fresh curds all the way to 17 and 18 year aged cheddar! Amazing product! I can't wait to get back there and buy a few more varieties to fill my cheese drawer.
Good selection of cheese. Picked up some Gouda made from sheep's milk as well as an 18 year old cheddar. Very sharp. Very delicious if you like old cheese. Will be returning again.
Excellent variety of cheeses and things to go with them, eg. great mustards and sesame sticks, much more besides. The 18-year old cheddar is sublime. A pleasure to be separated from my money in this manner.
